I like it. You know Rafer and Chandler had some words back in NO.

Then in this game when Rafer was subbing out... he showed his muscle to Chandler and NO bench.

Then CP3 and Rafer going at it 1 on 1.

Then at the end CP3 and Chandler being escorted out.

I think he proved himself pretty good. I am not defending Paul in any way, however we need to criticize Rafer just a bit. He has a history of letting words affect his play or his opponents' play on the court. I hope he has grown up and doesn't do it anymore.

This is not some pick up game where he is the best player. He's facing better PG's night in and night out and the last thing he needs to do is give them extra motivation.

This is the kinda stuff that he would have been blasted for if we had lost the game. People would have said: What is he doing getting Paul extra motivation?

it may be an ugly and cold shot, but you have to admit that a majority of the people that came here from NO have been nothing but trouble. the crime rate shot through the roof once they came and i don't think that's a coincidence...

I said the exact same thing last week in another thread. Tonight, he did it to Rafer a couple of times in the half court, even backing into Rafer to initiate contact. The refs didn't take the bait.

One thing I'll never forget about Chris Paul is when he punched Jarrett Jack in the ***** in college.

Well no **** the crime rate shot through the roof. Those people game straight from the ghetto. What did you expect a bunch of successful businessmen coming off those buses?

If I was an opposing fan, I would hate Rafer. He has kind of come off like a punk at times recently.

But hey, I'm not so it's great to see him not backing down to anyone.

Of course, Chandler started all this with his BS celebrating after an alley-oop last game.

Chris Paul's comments though seriously comes off like a sore losser. You got beat. Suck it up, say they played great. Maybe even say Rafer played out of his mind tonight. Whatever. You lost square and fair, don't act like a punk yourself and be a sarcastic a** about it.

I disagree. Trash talking on the court is all part of the game of basketball. You're right it can get into people's head. It can be for better or for worse. Players like Ron Artest, you don't want to taunt. He'll burn you... but there are some other players that gets into their head and don't perform as well. You can't blame Rafer for being competitive.

I still don't see why great players like Chris Paul needs extra motivation to win games. It's the same deal with Tracy McGrady. I remember a play where "the kobe stopper" blocked Tracy McGrady on a shot. Next few possession Tracy burned him over and over. It's all part of the game.

I think he was confusing Alston with McGrady. I hope we meet them in the playoffs.

I was at the game and I didn't notice anything going on between Chris Paul or Alston. What I did see was, as everyone was leaving the floor, Alston staying behind to complain probably about his fifth foul to a ref. As he was talking to the ref, Chandler stood right next to them and waited for the ref and Alston to finish. When that happened, they both had words and and had to be separated. As Chandler was being escorted off the court, the crown booed him.
