I was hoping he'd go back to New Orleans and play with Davis and Cousins.

The Clippers will be finished if they give Paul that kind of contract. I just don't see that group ever winning a title as constructed.

You would think DeAndre Jordan would explain to them just what a verbal agreement is worth.

I don't know if this is a smart idea for Paul. He needs to win badly and I would think this season is the last chance this core has of showing whether it can do that. So far, injuries have once again set them back. Rivers, as well, is a mediocre coach and that's holding them back.

And they have to give Blake the max this summer also correct? Man they will still lack quality depth and have no SF worth anything. SAME ISSUES for them....

Great money, great city and good team, can't hate on it. Glad he isn't jumping aboard the superteam train because this league has had enough of it.

First Magic gets promoted. Jim and Mitch are ousted. And now this. The Lakers keep getting better news throughout the day.

How many times can you re-tread a tire before you realize it's time for a new set.

The trio of Paul, Jordan and Griffin have floundered for SIX years now. And yet reality hasn't set in.. even with new ownership. Even if you can bring in pieces to try to move the franchise forward, unless you are drafting someone that comes in and is a stud, your core is not getting younger and you are committing more long term money.

Unless the plan is to sign and trade Griffin to the Celtics who could offer the best package of picks and players to rejuvenate the franchise, the Clippers will be wallowing for another Five years and then whatever time it takes to rebuild after that.

Should not have made Doc coach and GM.

If they ever had the common sense to bring in a proper backup PG for when CP3 sat or was injured, instead of relying on the GM's son, they probably could have already won a championship.

Great for CP3. He would be stupid not to take the money.

Not so great for the Clippers. Giving $40MM/yr for 5 years to a guy that will be 32 in May is just crazy.

CP3 has advanced past the 1st rd numerous times (something McGrady never did).
