it’s obvious that CP3 is the leader of the team

CP3 became the leader and Harden became the MVP. If CP3 would've became healthy for games 6 and 7. We would've become champions.

His game will age well. I think he will see the WCF at least 2 more times.

Is this supposed to be a knock on James Harden?

First off, I didn’t know Lawrence was on the Rockets active roster and was in a position to have an opinion worth a damn on the issue.

Mitch Lawrence is the worst. He barely pays attention to his own show and just throws in little “right” type comments.

Push whatever narrative you want though. The rockets players have called harden a leader and said he willed them to victory

Chris is a vocal leader as well as leading by example on the court. Harden is just a phenomenal player who leads by example but lacks the vocal leadership skills CP3 has. Paul is definitely our leader now and worth all the money we are paying him.

Vocal leader? Absolutely. Respected? No doubt. Guaranteed deep playoff runs? Pump the breaks. He has had one deep playoff run and that was last year. Yeah I know injuries. Still. He is not the Rockets player with the "multiple deep playoff runs". That's Mr MVP. But a healthy Chris Paul is perfect for James Harden.

To me, Chris Paul is the first real leader on the Rockets since Hakeem. In some ways Yao was, but this is a different level entirely.

I agree he is one of the leaders(along with James) but more importantly he takes pressure off of James so he doesn’t have to do the things he isn’t very good at like motivating his teammates. James is still a leader but he is too low key on the court to be motivating his teammates in the same way CP does. It’s just a personality thing - Jason Terry used to be that guy for us too despite the fact he wasn’t anywhere close to being one of the best players.

I’m hoping Harden will learn to be one too but maybe it’s not ment to be.

i dont know why people try to turn this into a negative on harden. can it not just be great that harden wanted one of the best leaders in the league to come lead the squad?

Not meant to be. He works soooo hard at being good at basketball but not at being a leader.

    Passive aggressive bullshiit writing.

James has been leading us deep in the playoffs already. I’m glad cp3 is here also and agree we were one hamstring away from a ship.

But this is just nonsense writing that chicken littles and harden haters will latch onto.

This guy wasn’t inside the locker room to know anything anyways tbh.
