CHECK THEIR STATS. CHECK THEIR TEAMS. See what Lebron has achieved with Drew Gooden as his sidekick. He beat the same Detroit team alone that embarrassed Kobe/Shaq/Malone and GP.

To be fair GP was washed up, Malone was hurt and the chemistry wasn't all there. Egos were clashing that whole season.

This is ridiculous Howard is no shape or form a better player than yao, that he could be? yea ofcourse he has tons of talent, but i mean if yao didn't get injured he would of probably been in top 3 MVP talk and maybe even win it, he averaged 22 points when mcgrady was gone and practically carried the team same as Mcgrady when Yao was gone.

And I stated that in my post. EASTERN CONFERENCE + healthy team VS WESTERN CONFERENCE + NOT A HEALTHY TEAM, it would be ridiculous if he didn't make it farther than Yao.

    in b4 the bash!!! omg

ah, caps lock. What exactly has lebron james achieved? A sweep in the finals? Kobe has about every offensive award the league has to offer, and a couple of rings in his drawer somewhere. No doubt lebron is one of the best right now but get the hell out of here talkin about whose achieved more.

You are completely right. You just made it sound like there is no way he should get more blocks than Dwight. He's a big guy and much smarter in every aspect of the game. When he jumps he has a 6 inch head start on Dwight.

Also, I've noticed that people take it right to Yao because they feel he's soft. He actually gets quite a bit of blocks this way. Dwight like many bigs, is known to put people flat on their a** for going right at him. They rarely try to go right at him. I'm sure you know what i mean. People are more afraid to go right at Howard than Yao.

Now, QdoubleA let me teach you how to check facts, click here http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lebron_james/index.html , n compare players choose Lakers then Kobe. Lebron beats Kobe in every category other than FT% and 3 point FG%. And this is actually the year that Kobe won the MVP! Now you know the difference between OPINIONS and FACTS.? Or maybe not.

Yao versus Dwight Howard right now is like Olajuwon versus Shaq in the 1995 Finals. Eventually Shaq was dang good (better than?) Olajuwon, but when they actually faced each other Olajuwon was a wily veteran and Shaq was an inexperienced and overhyped novice.

Yao is not a little better, he is MUCH better than Dwight. Did you mental midgets not watch Yao eat his lunch last year when we played the Magic? Last year was the FIRST year that Howard averaged 20 points a game (20.5), but in the last three years Yao averaged 22, 25, and 22. Yao even outscored Howard last year even though Yao had a broken foot for quite a while. Yes, Howard is a better rebounder, but Yao not only is better in the post, but he has an assortment of moves, is better in midrange and is an excellent outside shooter, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HITS 85 percent of his freethrows. I wouldn't want a center like Howard who shoots 59 percent from the line. In cruch time, who do you want? Overall, Yao is a much much better player right now, and when healthy, there is no comparison.

The Magic have had a hell of a team the last few years and done nothing impressive, so don't go to the "Yao hasn't gotten out of the first round" card either. Furthermore, Howard plays in the East. The tough, tough eastern conference. Saying Howard is better than Yao is like saying Ginobli is better than Kobe. He's good, dang good, but he can't hold Yao's jock strap.

Point, set, and match. Thanks for playing. Please come again.

Now you give Howard excuses? What does age have anything to do with who is better?

Yao is better than howard. Howard is a better athelete. Lebron is better than Kobe not by much but he is better. Kobe may be a better clutch player but that is it.

He is NOT natural offensively. Bynum and Oden will be better offensively than Howard.

lebron was the essential leader he had to carry the team
kobe had other players such as bynum and gasol so he didnt have to carry more of the offensive load, therefore his stats are not as skewed as lebron
if you watch the games lebron depends more on sheer strength to get to the rim and kobe has better moves
when lebron learns to play better defense and develops a mid range game he;ll be better than kobe

and by athleticism alone, Dwight is a better defender than Yao. He can defend the quicker 4's who often kill Yao. That's the only way he's better than Yao, though. Yao is so much better than any other center that it isn't really up for discussion.
