When he was a free agent everybody on this board was all in a tither about resigning him. I even asked JVG about it during the summer league in Las Vegas that year... jus goes to show how wrong our perceptions can be...
Mike James was awesome for the Raptors in 05/06, though. At least as afar as fantasy stats go. I got him in like the 10th round of the fantasy draft in a 20-team league. Definitely did more than any of the other moves I made to propel my team to a title.

James was playing in China last year, averaged ~35ppg in 8 games by jacking up 20+ three pointers a game. After he was replaced, his Chinese team went from 2-6 (16th in league) to finish at 19-13 (5th best in league).
In REALLY WANTING SOMEONE to replace Rafer in the lineup? Can't blame anyone too much for that wishful thinking I think a LITTLE part of it was it there was a brand new coach in Adelman that year. We were still going off the Van Gundy based rosters and performances and projecting THOSE forward.
