Too bad Charles James doesn't have a 72 million contract to save him.

Started to hate him when he called out the fans after the Indy game and being crappy in coverage

calling out the fans, fine--i think a couple of other players did it too, though. Wilfork maybe?

Either way, he wasn't good in coverage. But like others have said, neither are most 5th CBs / 8th DBs. Why did people expect him to be a stud cover guy? He's a special teamer who gets forced into action sometimes.

Bill O'Brien's not afraid to swing the hammer when it comes to fringe players. He loves a good scapegoat when things aren't going well!

James had more than enough chances. The fumble against the Pats was awful too. He is lucky he didn't cut for that alone.

The number of times his height came into play in coverage was astounding... He really has been a liability on the field.

Calling out the fans is fine if you're a good player. Not so much if you're a fringe player.

This is long overdue, he's just not an NFL player just like I never even had a chance to play in the association. That's how it goes sometimes but credit to him he actually got a few chances.

He should thank HBO Hard Knocks for extending his NFL career.

The defensive backfield needs an overhaul.

JJo needs to be a cap casualty, he just isn't the same player he was and doesn't stay on the field enough. Use his cap space to resign Bouye and maybe another safety. Bouye and if Kevin Johnson can stay healthy, that's two good players at the corners.

It's about time to move Kareem Jackson to strong safety. Let him keep the plays in front of him, use his physicality in the run game but for the love of god stop pretending like he has the speed to stick with WR. He doesn't. He hasn't for about 7 years now. SS and maybe some slot coverage/nickel corner. Kinda like they did for Quin.

Hal is an OK centerfielder but if they're going to go after a 3rd safety to replace the Demps and Pleasants of the world I'd like to see maybe a hybrid S/LB who can support the run AND cover TEs, RBs. If Ballentine is never going to be that guy it's time to move on and FIND that guy.

This isn't too crazy I don't think. I could get there real easy though because to me, the front is setup to be a 43.

    --------------------Hal--------------Jackson--------------------
    ----Johnson--------------------------------------Bouye---------
    ---------????----McKinney-------Cushing-------------------
    ----Mercilus---Reader---Watt----Clowney-------------------

Cushing is and has alawys been an OLB playing middle. Now we have a MLB in Mckinney, now Cushing is only fast enough to cover one side of the field but is still a beast around the line. Basically draft one Will 43 LBer and you've got a unit that should be great. I say it's crazy, to me it's crazy that they don't do it since that's how they drafted but whatever.

I like this. This defense will be elite if healthy.

Jjo might not be what he was but when he went off the field, Aaron went 8/10 for 130 yards. It led to everyone shifting down.

Cool! I was prepared to get cracked about Madden-ing it up lol...

The biggest thing Wade ever did was naturalizing positions...but that's was with Barwin/Reed, moving Quin back, Cushing inside, etc.

Simon isn't that kind of LB.

Too bad he didn't sign before yesterday's game. Texans could have picked on him like they picked on Robert Nelson.

Just kidding. James would've intercepted Osweiler three times, returning one for a TD. ;)
