Center Willy Hernangomez seeks trade from the New York Knicks

Damn, thought he was traded here. Why post it like this?

 

He's an intriguing end of the bench/stash guy, but wouldn't crack our rotation.

 

He’s a good project backup center to have. Has some upside and I wouldn’t mind buying low on him but it wouldn’t really make us better.

 

I like him. Hope Morey can trick the Knicks to give him up cheaply.

 

It's hard for anyone to know how good he can be, as his career has seemingly been bungled by all that is the NYK so far.

They're choosing a "playoff push" over seeing if they actually have someone.

Knicks never even play him once they acquired Enes. He’s very solid C

 

He is worth a flyer forsure, I would give them a 2nd and international rights to have him.

Not sure how he moves the needle but he's worth a look if the cost is low. He is a good roll man (1.21 ppp)

 

HernanGomez is smart and tough but he’s a bad fit for Rockets. Willy is a back to basket type player like DMo and MGasol, but not as long or even as athletic.

His strength is not rolling to rim or playing above it. He would not beat out Black for 3rd string back up center. Other than rebounding what is the attraction?

 

i can see this guy go to San Antonio if they have somehting decent to trade.

 

Yes, he could give us a Prigioni like impact as a center.

 

Tarik is stronger and quicker, but Willy can shoot from outside, and help space the floor. I wouldn't give up a 1st rounder for him though.

 

He'd fit like a glove here and add a second dimension to our offense off the bench. I think it will cost more than a late first for him though.

 

We should really consider making a thread for random trade ideas.
