It's a win win. Lol people do not realize that Danny Ainge is a hoarder of Draft picks. He will get them back. He does not need to pick Top 5 every year. Let's see how good Fultz is but I think Fultz on a Celtics team would develop better. A winning team with profound history of winning big. Just my 2 cents.
The question is if Bradley is going to get traded in the next 30 days or not. This is their last year with capspace. After that it will be very difficult to clear salary to get superstars. Because their backcourt is going to get overpaid.
Not 100% sure about the Celtics, Ainge has been too hestitant lately to commit, although he has a great core. IT and Horford can't wait forever for those picks to convey. If they're having a good free agency and land Griffin, Hayward or both or uses the picks to acquire Butler/George, this trade is absolutely a win-win. If not, they might waste another year of Thomas' and Horford's prime.
Celtics setting themselves up nicely for next year so they can draft Kevin Durante clone: Michael Porter Jr.
I think this is the plan First Boston select with #3 someone that Chi wants. Then they sign Griffin as FA Then Boston trade for Butler and George
The Titans really benefited from trading their pick, but yet to see if it results in a championship. I would be hard pressed to trade a #1 unless I absolutely did not need that player and felt I could get my guy. The Celtics still need a #1 player in my opinion. And I feel the Celtics could use any #1 type no matter the position. They aren't even close to championship level despite being on the perimeter of the series. Yes. They could get better, but for what purpose. They aren't even close. Sad to say. But they aren't. So keep the pick.
That team might have chance against warriors especially if the celtics can keep avery. 5 all stars + decent bench + brad as coach.
The Celtics are going to use the 3rd overall pick on Kevin McHale and trade the upcoming pick for Robert Parish.
naw warriors would still feast on them. Lack of good perimeter shooting. I mean pure shooters like klay/curry/durant is like insane.
Paul George is the only Batman on that list. As you said and I agree, Butler, Griffin, and Hayward are all second fiddles. Still, not every team can trade for a young Harden or land a prime Durant in the offseason. So you have to build with what's available. Boston could be a threat to the Cavs at least if they have a strong offseason. The Warriors however are not going to conquered by any combination of these players. Not unless it involves Harden, Kawhi, and Davis on the same team.
