    Celtics Sign Free-Agent Guard

BOSTON (AP) - Chris Carr, the free-agent guard who spent last season with Golden State and Chicago, signed with the Boston Celtics on Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Carr, 26, appeared in 57 games last season, averaging 9.3 points and 3.0 rebounds. The former Southern Illinois star also has played for Phoenix, Minnesota and New Jersey.

``We are excited to have Chris on our team,'' Celtics coach Rick Pitino said. ``He adds to our athleticism and gives us additional scoring at the wing spot.''

Rudy T looks like God compared to Pitino. Pitino has no idea how to build a winning team.

Add Chris Carr to the already impressive off-season aqcuisitions of Randy Brown (for just $2.5mill a year) and Robert Pack (at a mere $3mill per) and you have the look of a contender right there!!!

LOL dr, I don't think Pitino realizes he is over the cap.

I wish they would sell the team to Bird. He would right that sinking ship.
