Celtics play rock, paper, scissors to decide who shoots free throw

Some teams decide who shoots free throws on a technical foul based on who’s the better free throw shooter. Or who’s shooting better that game. But the Boston Celtics decided to go a different route on Sunday when Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley did a quick round of rock, paper, scissors to decide who was shooting the free throw.

Crowder won the game, but missed the free throw. Despite the lost point, the Celtics came away with a 105-95 win over Miami.

The Celtics, of course, are far from the first team to make a major decision with rock, paper, scissors. In October, two NHL players played the game to decide who would leave the ice first. And that same month, a lacrosse game was decided by a very intense bout of rock, paper, scissors.

Interesting haha. I'm guessing Crowder and Bradley have similar FT%?

It's nothing compared to Ennis, KJ, and Bobby playing duck, duck, goose to decide who gets team laundry duty after game day.
