Frank also is one of three finalists for the Rockets’ head coaching position, along with Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey and former Timberwolves coach and GM Kevin McHale. All three have had second interviews, sources said, the Rockets officials are in the evaluation process. Two high-level coaching sources said Casey appears to be the favorite for the Houston job.

The Duane-Dwight-Dwyane quotient is not high enough on this Rockets team. I'm FOR IT.

What will we do once it's over, though? I guess there's the draft day, but then it's lockout and emptiness for Rocket fans!

I want K-Mac, because the other two are boring choices. KMac = interesting... or at least b****ing about him can fill up some of the emptiness that is the loooong offseason.

makes sense, because wouldn't it already be announced that frank or mchale is coach since they aren't in the playoffs?

Not that I don't like McHale... but the fact that I have heard him as a commentator and was less than impressed tells me if he was our coach I'd be screaming at the tv often.

Frank impressed me when I saw him coaching the Nets... but to be honest, he's just not the kind of coach I would expect for what we currently have on the roster.

    Casey ftw!

and Carl... I don't mind if it goes quiet here for a while... I think a lot of us could use a break ;)

That's a good reason to hire a coach.

Okay out of the three I pick Casey. I was afraid Frank was their guy. I think Frank is a Van Gundy type clone, really smart but not the best motivator.

I don't know much about Casey but his resume is impressive. Can anyone talk about his specialty. Offense - Defense... Okay for the mavs He is the Defensive specialist and he certainly has got them playing the best D they have ever played. I am Liking him more and more... I liked Mchale as a motivator and I certainly thought Frank was smart enough but I think Casey might bring the best of both of those in one package with an emphasis on defense. Casey Defensive Specialist

    Dwane Casey Resume

Casey is the man for sure. That mavs' zone defense is all his. i remember him being known for the zone in mini and actually keeping the wolves in the top 10 in defense with it. he's also developed as a nice motivator, player developer, and even learned some offense along the way. the guy is the complete package. much better than frank as a defensive coordinator or mchale as a motivational speaker.

p.s. maybe he brings some mavs assistants with him! lol
