I'd love it if they could switch it up depending on teams. If Kawhi is on Harden, CP3 should bring up the ball and let Kawhi chase Harden off to a corner like how teams play the SAS. Teams like GSW, let whoever Curry is guarding to be the ball handler.

Obviously most teams are used to have their PG to defend the PG of the opposing team, having Harden as a SG bringing up the ball against the SG could be a good way to mix it up and jolt the opposing team's comfort.

I think MDA will allow it and let them work out the kinks the first few games.

not last year. and he was only bad the previous years because of the burden he had to carry offensively.

    eg. see Harden's OKC years

He just need to improve and even have some highlight reel defensive plays. A lot of people are praising KD's defense after one season with Warriors.

This is the kind of luxury no other team have. GSW backcourt has better scoring, but no where near as good on playmaking.

KD is a physical specimen, he's always had the ability to be a great defender. Harden is physically average by NBA standards (and is pretty slow laterally).

Does this look average for a guard? Harden is very strong for a guard, he just flat out didn't play defense at all on some occasions. He doesn't even need to be great at defense, he just need to put effort in there and try. People don't rip Curry as hard because he tries more.

Harden is hardly physically average, he just has strengths in different areas from traditional guards. While he is not extremely fast or has crazy ups, he has incredible body control, strength, and durability. This allows him to stop and go and stop on demand, power through people downhill, and absorb contact while still being able to finish. Combine this with his super high BBIQ and you get the top 3 player that is The Beard.

    this +

his conditioning and stamina are prolly at par with MVP WB.. he rested 1 game the whole reg season last year as compared to Lebron and Kawhi

and as you mentioned his stopping/braking ability is unmatched in today's nba

    Does off-ball Harden have heart?

Heartless Harden averaged 28.5/8.5/5.5, Harden with Heart would probably single-handedly destroy your Mavs. That's if they even get into playoff. :D
