The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to try to move the No. 1 overall pick, and are discussing a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Cavs have said that they want a prospect, a 2013 lottery pick and a 2014 first-round pick for the top pick in this year’s draft, and that’s what the team is offering to New Orleans:
Cleveland offered New Orleans this year’s top overall pick in exchange for point guard Greivis Vasquez, the No. 6 overall pick and a 2014 first-round pick, according to sources.
    (via Hoopsworld)
According to Hoopsworld, it’s uncertain whether the Pelicans have expressed any interest in such deal. Looking at the deal, it’s probably not something that the Pelicans would want to do. First of all, there is no way New Orleans is giving up an unprotected first-round pick in the stacked 2014 draft, which is probably what the Cavs would push for.

BTW Sorry about all the new threads I have been making.

misleading title. the cavs would receive more than just Vasquez. Although I don't understand why they would want him when they have Irving...perhaps they'd use him as trade bait.

Good grief, everyone is making things up now!

Pelicans official denies reported trade suddenly make rounds on Internet involving Cavs. "Good grief. People are just making stuff up now."
— Sam Amico (@SamAmicoFSO) June 26, 2013

And yes, cut back on the threads. Unless it comes from a reliable source(that does NOT INCLUDE Sam Amico, Hoopsworld, KingJamesGospel), don't post it. Rather, don't start a new thread on it.

No way the Pelicans do it as they stated. But, an Anthony Davis/Nerlens Noel frontcourt would be pretty special going forward with two guys of that athleticism and defensive ability, and then add in the offensive skill set and potential that Davis has.

Even if there was truth behind it, that's one of the most misleading thread titles I've seen in awhile.

You know you're having a hard time if you're Hoopsworld when Sam Amico is shooting down your reports.

I'll never understand how people think Alex Kennedy is Woj Lite or something. It's crazy.

If this was true, why the heck would you trade for Vasquez when you have Kyrie?
