Amico Hoops spoke via text with the GM, who is attending the NBA summer league this week in Las Vegas. “I think (Cleveland is) where he wants to be most, because it’s a guaranteed trip to the Finals,” the GM said. “Houston and New York aren’t.” When told of an earlier report that Anthony is “confident” the Knicks can work out a trade with the Rockets, the GM replied with a laughing emoji. “It doesn’t matter what Carmelo feels confident about, because he’s not the one making the deals,” the GM said. He later added, “He’s confident in a Knicks front office that can’t ever get out of its own way? OK.” The GM also said he thinks Rockets GM Daryl Morey “is a smart guy and a hard worker,” and that the Cavs will “need to get busy” if they hope to get Anthony first. “Morey got (Chris) Paul and (James) Harden, he can figure out how to get Carmelo, too.” Finally, the GM said he doesn’t think the Cavs’ lack of a top basketball executive will hurt them in trade talks with the Knicks. “They have people who are smart enough to dial a phone, right? You pick it up, you call the Knicks, and you start proposing trades,” he said. “It’s not brain surgery.” It's not happening But I thought this clearly deserved it's own thread
“It doesn’t matter what Carmelo feels confident about, because he’s not the one making the deals,” the GM said. this guy must not know what a "no trade" clause is
Let me provide this saying that was given to me several years ago and has served me well: "If it ends in a "k" (Amick), you are OK. If it ends in an "o" (Amico), just say no."
