    Cleveland now has a better team with better asset. Wait til they flip the Brooklyn pick for Marc Gasol.


    Melo is going to Cleveland for sure.

    For what? Cavs are not trading Love or that #1 pick for Melo. Melo doesn't want to go there without Lebron's assurance he is stay......not going to get that.

    I don't understand how love, melo, bron work

    They have to deal love and then you still have the issue of lebron ditching melo and Isaiah who is in a contract year as well....don't forget melo does not want to play PF full time.

    You have to match salaries in a trade. Clevaland has bad contracts that people arent going to want. You would have to clear 2 max contracts worth to get gasol and melo. How are you on the site this much and you still dont know how any of this works. Its simply stunning. Either your are attempting to be a terrible troll or this basketball stuff is just way over your head.

    I leave the site for a few weeks, and come back to this ****.

    Reactionary thread, all emotion - zero logic. Cav's have to trade something for Melo that adds up to ~$20M which would be extremely difficult (but not impossible).

    Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, Shumpert, Frye... Cleveland has plenty of salary to trade.

    Isaiah is about as good as Kyrie. Jae Crowder is the 3 and D wing they have sorely needed. The Brooklyn pick is as good a trade asset as any good team has. They still have Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson and plenty of salary matching options to obtain another high level player or two.

    And they have LeBron James.

    Well Gilbert and Clevland were trying to trade Kyrie Irving. We are trading Ryan Anderson with 60 mil on his contract. Morey is doing the best he can. What did anyone think we were going to get with just ryan anderson that would really make the Knicks happy....

    The Cavs were already better in theory, they have the best player, two more all stars, and a nice group of role players.

    Combine that with an owner who spends and will go over the luxury tax, and the fact they play in a weak conference.

    I would say they were already better, this actually makes them worse IMO. Losing Kyrie isn't good. Having a star force their way out via trade isn't good. LeBron getting his names thrown around in this PR mess isn't good.

    Honestly The BKYN pick might end up being 5-6, and IT is small, 29, volume shooter, hurt, and salty against lebron. Crowder is a role player who's not hard to find in the draft or FA.

    Cavs won the trade because Kyrie wanted out and stated it publicly, and had little leverage. Not because of an amazing haul they got in return.
