From http://www.foxsports.com/nba/hou/teamreport.sml : Teams that have inquired about Kelvin Cato have come away believing the Rockets are not interested in moving him. Cato has been relatively diligent in his offseason workouts, offering greater hopes for next season. But he also is just a base-year player, making it difficult to move him or to get as much as they might want in return. If the workouts indicate greater dedication, the Rockets might choose to give him another season. But there is a gamble. The longer they keep him, the more they must get from their six-year, $42 million investment and the more they risk allowing him to occupy cap space they need. The Rockets believe there is always a market for a big man. But that in itself might be a reason to keep the one they've got. <HR WIDTH=75%> First I've heard in a while about his workouts. ------------------
That's good news... I hoped we could keep Cato, now it looks like we will. Maybe Cato will have some decent post skills to complement his raw athletecism next year. ------------------ treasurer of the moochie norris fan club
