To be fair, he never demonstrated the level of play he is displaying now and Vikings were forced to persist with him and viola. Late bloomer or better coaching or a bit of both is anyone's guess. Whichever way you look at it, only the Keenum faithful can say "See, I told you so." Also, Vikings line is much better than Texans have had in recent years.
That's a good example too, he bounced around for years before finally becoming a Houston legend due to playoff heroics.
UH grad here. I followed Case throughout his career at UH. Tonight was a great night. Not much of a crier, but I shed a tear after that "miracle."
He did in college, then it disappeared while he had either awful coaches or coaches that didn't want him, not it's returning now that he's got a competent coach that wants him. That said, as a UH alum, I'm fine with being called "keenum faithful"
That was right before he cost them Minnesotans millions by kneeling down and not covering the spread.
Texas QBs that UT did not want: Drew Brees, Nick Foles, Case Keenum, Baker Mayfield, JT Barrett...I'm sure I could think of others were I so inclined.
Of QBs who played in the spread offense era at a Texas university, Case Keenum is the greatest QB from the state of Texas to play in the NFL. Hands down. #EatEmUp
