Ford put a Mustang on top of the Empire State Building, piece by piece

Story links to this, too, on FORD's site: https://media.ford.com/content/ford...04/15/mustang-esb-some-assembly-required.html

    <a href="https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/asset.html/content/dam/fordmedia/North America/US/2014/04/16/MustangESBPieces_0045_HR.jpg.html" target="_new"><img src="https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North America/US/2014/04/16/MustangESBPieces_0045_HR.jpg/_jcr_content/renditions/cq5dam.web.480.480.jpeg" height="480" width="470" alt="2015 Mustang Assembly on the Empire State Building" /></a>

:( I've never had enough dinero to buy one for myself... this new one looks huge, slick, and smooth... (that's what sh--wait... no...)

Don't know why you want to run the risk of having such a machine "run" in an area that small. daredevil?

Guess it's not so tough to build.

Starting it isn't running it. You can glue the pieces together, but that's not reassembly.

I understand the difference. But... is there really a need to start it? WHY?

The only reason would be to drive it... you wouldn't want to drive it up there. That's not what that area, in my opinion, should be used for, not even as a "test" or because it's a 50th anniversary thing. You will risk putting it in gear and then it takes off and breaks the barrier... and... F no. NO... just...

    Nothing to look at here.

There's no engine (after watching the video) so it won't start up. It's basically a handful of guys putting together a real life size car model thousands of feet up on a building utilizing elevators.

That new mustang ain't no joke. Freaking beautiful and now one option is a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine producing 305 horses! And it's estimated to have 35mpg :eek:
