why are we being mean and laughing at capela? this dude expanded and improved his game for us and y'all are all slandering him. let him do what he wants. if he thinks he's worth more, let him try to prove it. no need to bring this man down.

Agreed. I am fed up with Capela drama.

Even Lebron James did not take so long...

Reality is coming. Oh wait, Golden State can probably offer him 150 million because the rules don't apply to them.

Welp, looks like QO and disgruntlement next season. No way he’s getting more then that 5/85. Under the circumstances I don’t know how he turns that down,

both bad contracts, that I guarantee both teams regret. Why do bad contracts mean everyone has to give bad contracts. This is why when other teams give dumb contracts , it is bad for everyone

No, don't give in to his foolish demands. He isn't worth that much.
QO is fine with me. Let's see if anyone else will overpay for him.

No one is bringing him down, but the guy needs to come down to earth and accept this MORE THAN FAIR DEAL, the guy is a role player take the deal and keep improving your game, by the time the contract is up he'll be 28 and he'll get another contract

But at least those two dunk almost every time. Adams for sure deserves it. He let’s westbrick get the rebounds even tips it to him. Without him he doesn’t get his triple doubles. Also how many horrible passes from WB does he turn into baskets.
Dj is or was idk very athletic. Same role as Capela but players actually fear trying to go to the basket with him inside. Capela can block shot yea but players don’t fear him. How many times has Capela gotten block by smaller guys didn’t yogi or mitchel and other smaller players have block Capela bcoz he likes to go soft.
I think all of this matters plus the fact that Capela got lost against the warriors. Harden didn’t get paid over 20m in his first contract with us. It was around 15m. Clint should just get the 85m/5 and keep improving so he gets max offers

I would pick Adams then dj then Capela if I had a choice.

Prove it Clint. Prove you've got more to offer because I don't see anything more developing than last year.

From there we wrap up DJ @3/40 after his mavs stint

They should back load his contract so he gets Anderson's money after next year.

Market is different plus this is Anderson's biggest contract he will get career wise. Capela is young and has more to prove.

That was a really fair offer IMO. He will not be the same without a great distributor on the team.

If he finds himself in most NBA teams he will look like a far lesser player.

Ugh at having two threads on the same thing.

On Tuesday, Feigen already reported that this was rejected on day one, leading to the sad emoji tweet by Capela.

The Rockets on July 1 offered $85 million over five years, with the contract potentially reaching $90 million with incentives, two individuals with knowledge of the offer said Tuesday. -- Feigen

Multiple reporting of the same thing doesn't mean it is getting worse. It's just RFA negotiating. We said, "Will you sign this? If not, bring us a better offer and we will match it." All that was on Day 1.

What the Rockets offered was way over value. They showed this kid some love with that generous offer. If it wasn't for Harden dude would be still on the D league or whatever it's called. Better yet he would've been traded.

Capella needs to be in the right system to thrive -- if he is thinking he wants more opportunities he is going to going to get quite a surprise trying to create on his own.
