So is he right? Do you see Capela as an ALL STAR Center right now? What Center in the West is better (I know they will screw him by putting in another Power Forward but still ) Rocket River
I mean, Boogie, Gasol, and KAT would probably make the All-Star team over Capela, as would Gobert (if he was healthy). You could make an argument for Jokic and DeAndre as well. I think it's hard to compare Capela to offensively-gifted centers like Gasol, Boogie, KAT, and Jokic, because it's apples and oranges. Among Gobert, DeAndre, and Capela, who are all of a similar archetype, I think Gobert is the best (though he's having a down year). DeAndre is more of a defensive presence than Clint, but he's a liability from the line and has no offensive skills to speak of. I like Capela in our system over DeAndre. If Capela were in the East, I feel like Horford, Drummond, and Embiid would all make it over him this year. Finally, I think Clint is better than Dwight, even though Dwight's having a pretty solid season.
Capela, as good as he is rigbt now is an above average starter (top15) as a center. His career arc has me hopeful of being a top 7-10 center by the time he peaks.
