The Jazz have no chance against the rockets. Despite the vaunted western conference myth there are really only two good teams in the west: the rockets and the warriors. If the rockets were healthy all year I think they are comfortably in the two seed. I don't even really want to watch this series. For the sake of ratings Silver should just declare the rockets and warriors the WCF.
The obvious answer is that we are the only team in the West that can threaten the Warriors in the playoffs. In the past three years, only we have win 3 games in the series against the Warriors (after Durant joined), even 3:2 ahead. And the rest of the teams can only win 1 game as much as they can.
the rockets havent done anything but win a game at home. whether you win by 1 or 100, its still just one win. chill
Remember last year when the Rockets won Game 1 against the Jazz then lost Game 2 at home? They have to stay focused and finish the job. Nothing will be handed to you. You have to earn it and take it.
I'll state the obvious: you don't take any NBA team lightly, and you don't take the NBA and its "interests" lightly, either. You don't throw a few punches and declare victory. You punch until the body goes limp. That said, I do think the Rockets will beat the Jazz if they continue to play like this. I hope all our players stay uninjured more than anything. And I want James to see these gimmicky defenses. He'll absorb the experience like a sponge, adjust and improve another aspect of his game, and be even better against the Warriors.
Ha, seem overly confident after one win. The Rockets as is are good, but we are lucky we aren't playing OKC. We could have easily been knocked out by them in a first round due to not being a good match up. Its funny everyone is so focused on beating the Warriors, is no one watching what the Bucks are doing, or how they guard Harden? I think its very possible they beat the Warriors this year, and lose in the finals. The other scenario is the Warriors realize how Boogie dominates the Rockets and they decide to feature him in the series.
