What changes to his Body would Parsons have to make to play the 4?

Could he add enough mass to Guard the 4.

In today's NBA is mass even a issue?

    What do you guys think?

Wikipedia has Chandler listed at 6'9 227lb in case you did not know.

Horry played the 4 at times with Dream. I don't see why not.

No, please do not compare Chandler to Horry! First, because they're not on the same level. Two, totally different players. Three, Horry was taller, more athletic and a shot blocker + played center in college / HS.

If smaller guys like Delfino, Garcia, and Casspi can, can't see why not with Parsons

Zach Randolph, Aldridge, Blake Griffin, would love to see Ariza or Parsons at the 4 on gameday.

On offense? Without a question. On defense? Against several PFs, sure. But he will have trouble against Aldridge, Griffin, Duncan... He should be able to bulk up some, but he won't get strong enough to hold his own against these type of guys.

But he can definetly play PF for some stretches. Those bad matchup PFs aren't on the field for 48 minutes. So signing Ariza doesn't mean goodbye Parsons.

Ariza can play the 2 and the 3. Harden can play the 2 and the 1. Parsons can play the 3 and the 4. Each of them should play between 30 and 38 minutes a night. We greatly improve our depth, finally add a real wing defender and a great 3pt shooter.

Parsons is tall enough, but needs to bulk up. I don't think he will be playing the 4 a lot at all next season.

He already has. Is he ideal? Size wise, no, but he can play there, particularly in small ball lineups, but he should come off the bench to play at the 4 spot, not start there. I want to match Parsons, and I want him coming off the bench behind Ariza and probably Jones.

Parsons played the 4 some in a small ball lineup. But we had problems when anyone other Howard/ Asik gaurded LMA. I'm not sure I even want to see Parsons try.

dude they both shoot 3s as a stretch 4. they both block shots. parsons could play the 4 for short stretches in the game.

the only thing different is horry actually showed up for the playoffs except parsons. so in short STFU
