Yes, they can. Our dog loves PB, and I use a little bit to seal off her kongs before we put 'em in the freezer.

Most dogs love any kind of nuts, but I've heard almonds can be bad for them.

I know I am being Francis here, but whatever.

    Almonds are not nuts.

They are a seed of the fruit of the Almond tree. The tree bears fruit with a "stone like" seed inside of it.

Off topic, but when I was in first grade I hung out with a kid on my tee ball team who let his dog lick PB off his scrot.

TMI, I know. I never hung out with him again.

I hope you told his parents because that is the behavior of a really sick person.

I believe his parents were part of the reason he was the way he was.

His older sister that same year while spending the night with my older step sister stole my father's gold ring and denied it until it was found in her room. Their parents ideal weekend was them being drunk by 10am.

Nuts are also fruits. Peanuts are actually legumes. Dogs can eat peanuts.

Almonds are not toxic, but are hard for dogs to digest.

Walnuts are bad for dogs and they can contain a fungus that is poisonous to dogs. Pecans and hickory nuts can also contain that same fungus.

Macadamia nuts and pistachios are also bad for dogs stomachs. Additionally, macadamias have something in them that is neurotoxic to dogs.

I don't really buy all that though. Raw meat??? Dogs are carnivore and eating raw meat is as close to being in the wild for them.. I feed them raw steak all the time and bread, salt and pepper too!

Remember, the ASPCA are the same people who use a Sarah McLachlan song to lure people to donate money.

They probably think dogs should be Vegan also.

They're probably saying the "Xylitol" from all those... not those themselves... maybe? I feed my dog chicken bones all the time and he's healthy.

Yeah, i use to get a dab of peanut butter, smear just enough on my crotch, and have my German shepherd lick it off. It was fun.
