    Thoughts?

He had a terrible season both offensively and defensively. Dude looked like a garden hose left on to flop around on the grass.

This season though we will have a direction and a plan both offensively and defensively which will hopefully mean less gambling on defense and less driving into the paint and throwing up hot garbage.

His shooting is entirely up to him and the work he puts in, but do you think he can be a useful player with some direction under MDA and Bez?

No use trading him for a can of pringles, I suppose.

One of the worst basketball players I've ever seen.

This. I've seen high school ballers with a better feel for the offensive game than Brewer. He seems like a good dude, but he's hot garbage on the offensive side of the ball and on defense, he's basically a one dimensional gambler.

If Brewer attempts a turnaround jumper, he'll break his legs.

Somehow he scored 51 points on James Harden that one year.

No, he has sucked as a basketball player since he got into the league at BEST he is a 12th man a guy who can come in and hustle.

    He is garbage.

I think he can. It was only one season. A season where the whole team played bad. He is a professional. He will come back ready this season.

His contract all of a sudden doesnt look so bad. As long as he's a 9th man on down, not a main rotation player.

On just FG% alone nothing else, Brewer actually had an average-decent 2nd half of the season believe it or not, shooting at his usual career averages. His 1st half was just atrocious to where it'd have taken not decent but outstanding play to make up for it.

But Brewer is running out of "scheme fits" in the league. Brewer is supposed to fit in the open-court faced paced style of Houston already. If he cant produce in MDA's system, then he's an end of bench "locker room guy" only. (Which in today's NBA can get you $11 million a year to be a practice player)

His biggest strength is in transition and in mda's offense he should at minimum be back to 2015 Corey brewer.

and I don't care what JB Bickerstaff says, Corey Brewer is not a PF. Can you imagine how worn down he was having to guard players almost twice his weight?
