DeAndre Jordan should be a buyout candidate but the Knicks might keep him just to see what happens in FA.
Then we lose DeAndre in the off-season because we don't have his birdrights and we're starting Marqueese Chriss. Genius plan.
Agree with most of this but does he take a 3-4yr TP MLE to stay in Houston? I am only for trading Capela for AD or a true star and I absolutely do not believe we are trading for AD. I am sure we will try but 100% sure it won't happen. One thing is true, there are about to be fireworks in the NBA. Everyone knows the game this offseason and leverage is at a premium now to get those stakes in the ground. This crazy trade that just happened to me is the canary in the coal mine.
lol people here actually thinks NO will take Capela for AD when there are much better offers on the table. If given the chance, you don't even think twice about trading Capela. You just ****ing do it. It's AD, an MVP level player at age 25.
DeAndre is not getting bought out. The Durant connection. EDIT: According to online sources I’m wrong. Weird. Thought wanting to re-sign him next year was a part of the plan.
If we can drop below lux tax, we could offer Jordan a full MLE which would be over 4/40. He might take that to be with his home town. We can even give him out 3.7 current MLE to top him off. If we can get Jordan with the agreement of him re-signing for the full MLE, you have to look into the possibility to move Clint in a package for a star player to maximize value. I'd look at Jimmy Butler specifically. Perhaps something like Capela, Knight to Hawks Bazemore, Len, Prince + Dallas 19 1st to 76ers Butler to Houston That drops Hou below the lux tax, opening up our full MLE for 2019 to re-sign Jordan with. Paul / Rivers Harden / Gordon Butler / Green Tucker / Ennis Jordan / Faried (try to bring back House too)
He’s shooting 38% from three for the season. He’s worth a look. He used to be a good defender. Not sure if he still is after his injuries though.
Wouldn't be an amazing get, but i mean, for free that would be kinda great, and definitely better than what we have.
Why not? He bangs 3's at a high % and clip. Has solid strength, he's built like Harden. Not the defender he used to be but still likely better than Green or Ennis.
