    That doesn't sound good OP, re-read my earlier post :) unless it's signed and the old owner is coming too to transfer it, run far.

    Sounds like a scam, I wouldn't bother. Especially the "my phone is broken" bullshit.

    Dude, run away. There are red flags in front of your face and you need to take the advise and stop thinking with your emotions to the car (if you are)

    WALK AWAY and dont come back. Cars come and go. You will find another one.

    Years ago I bought a vehicle from someone who didn't have the title in their name. He was trying to flip it so he didn't pay taxes. Technically I bought it from the legal owner and paid the middle man

    If you do you better not come back here asking for more advice.

    I mean what if I break into someones house and steal the title and the car...and then try to sell it to you. And when you try to call me I just say message me on my ipad instead. Wtf. How are these not red flags!?!?!??

    The original title needs to be signed and notarized by the person on the title! Front and back. Even then it's shady why someone else has that title. Why didnt this person just apply for a new title?

    I bought my bronco from a guy with an open title. I just told him to give me the number of the guy who has his name on the title and I hit that guy up to make sure it was legit and had a PI run the plates to make sure the dude wasn't lying about the owner. But ya you gotta be careful, but most guys doing that are just trying to save a little cash. Still though you could get ****ed, my bronco was only 1500 so I didn't give a rats ass.
