Breaking news: congressional baseball practice shooting

If he wasn't whip he wouldn't have had security. Don't mess with the capitol police dead guy unable to shoot a rifle well.

Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., told Fox News he left just before the shooting. As he walked to his car, a man asked DeSantis if it was Republicans or Democrats practicing. About three minutes the shooting began, DeSantis said.

Some of those surgeons have worked on me at GW Hospital. And the game tomorrow is a couple of blocks away from home. I may go just go over to Nats park to see all the pomp and circumstance which I'm sure will take place tomorrow night.

The event, just sad. I understand that 99% of the public would not even recognize a congressperson, so security risk is pretty low, but when they are all together in one spot, one would think a little more security makes sense.
