Many have said this before but I got to get it off my chest. It's weird how people always preface the MVP discussion with "Harden can only prove things in the playoffs." Huh? The MVP is a regular season award bro. Obviously I want harden to dispel the hot takes regarding his playoff performances (he actually plays very well in most playoff games), but the playoff discussion is irrelevant when talking MVP. What a convenient way to dismiss Harden yet again.
To be fair, I spend fair amount of time outside of this forum (twitter, reddit/nba, realgm. etc.) and there has been a noticeable increase in the amount of "Harden is not MVP because he benefits from MDA system" narrative since this clip came out. Saying it doesn't matter because Max is a boxing analyst is a moot point, because unfortunately much of general public's opinion on Harden are formed by watching this kind of show. Whether you like it or not it does have real world consequences, just like that silly youtube video about Harden's defense - which nobody took seriously when it first came out.
Why do people even listen to Max any freaking ways. Dude is horrible and he gets owned by Steven A Trash Smith.
That's the way the show is setup. If there was a parrot that says "Harden sucks", certain generation of Clutchfans members would go to the PetSmart to tell the parrot that Harden does not suck
I wonder what Max Kellermans perception of Harden would be if Lebron came to Houston Then proceeds to be outplayed by Harden
Bringing up the playoffs explains why Harden could be underrated in MVP voting, it isn’t necessarily meant to excuse it.
The general public is stupid, the general public thought McGregor was going to KO Floyd, who the hell cares, you can't fix general public's perception, it's just the way it is. the general public also let Fox and CNN talking heads influence how they vote.
you shouldn't wonder about someone who is getting paid to tell the opposite opinion of Stephen A Smith's.
Kellerman keeps talking crazy and somebody’s going to throw hands on him like they did Moses Malone Jr.
