Brazile contemplated replacing Clinton with Biden in fall of 2016

I'm having a hard time following this. So the whole scandal was provided that the DNC could be in the unethical position of power to rig the primaries in favor of Clinton, and at the same time nobody is questioning that Donna Brazile says she had the ability to simply flip a switch and change the nomination to Biden? Would it have then been "rigged" for Biden? Would everyone be hating Biden like they now do with Hillary had that have happened?

This hindsight self serving memoir really should be laced with a good amount of skepticism given the amount of nonsense that has already been proven as spin and a slanted account of what happened. But look... Brazile will sell some books so whatever. There are no laws I've seen that were broken, and while this spat surely doesn't paint the DNC and Hillary in a positive light no matter which way you spin it, at the end of the day its revisionist history from someone with an axe to grind. Its time for the left to move on.

I once remember that Trump not paying tax (we all know it's wrong, but it's not illegal) was the smart thing to do. SMART!

But when Clinton take full advantage of the DNC (it isn't even that, but spins happen), it's vile evilness.

Biden is awesome. I wish he was President.

 

I think he's been kicking himself for the better part of a year. I understand why he didn't want to run at the time. But when he looks at things now, he's realized he made a huge mistake.

 

They're all a bunch of fat greedy a-holes who, despite being showered with money, were in such severe debt that they were willing to cede control of the party to one person for a paltry sum of money.

Clinton lost to the worst candidate ever. Everything was wrong. It wasn't an "oops" or "if we had just remembered one thing" or "the mood just wasn't right". This is like a basketball team losing by 50 and then blaming it on a couple of bad calls by the ref.

Enough about this horrendous candidate. Let's just hope she doesn't try AGAIN to terrorize everyone into making her president.

Re: Clinton, Matloom, I think your analogy is accurate. The pied piper strategy was just the beginning of many terrible ideas from the Democratic Party that gave us the gift of President Trump that just keeps on giving.

 

Agreed. The only question now is whether the party can be bleached clean or if things are in fact so bad that there is a tiny possibility that an independent candidate or 3rd party emerges that can shake the structure.

The good/bad news is, if you look at the economics/finances, there is barely anything left to loot after Trump quietly drained the last buckets of social care (via tax assault, removal of financial protections and diverting government contracts to the dinosaur industries). Americans don't seem to realize that nuclear dominance is all that is keeping them from losing their sovereignty to debt - though that's a very VERY long term process.
