    I don't get their fascination with Brandon fu**in Weeden.

    He has great arm strength and is familiar with the system, but other than that what else can you benefit from?... if Deshaun were to go down with an injury.

    I wouldn't mind Weeden if BOB could adapt to two different styles. He can't/won't

    They signed Weeden last year and cut him before the season started. This signing doesn't mean he enters the season as the #2. You want at least 3 QBs in preseason. Deshaun probably won't be ready for OTAs, so Weeden provides another arm for practices.

    Solid choice, you pick a cheap vet backup who can work almost as an additional QB coach and the Texans probably draft a 3rd stringer.

    Good pickup but still need to get a similar QB in camp Weeden can be a big help as a QB coach.

    He's on the roster so they aren't compelled to reach for one in the draft, imo.

    Better to not look desperate, especially when you are.
