Bobby doesn't deserve any appreciation, he should have been gone a long time ago in my opinion. I don't know what his life story is, but it's a sad one, that is for sure. I do appreciate Clutch for finally making the move.
Way back in the olden days of internet sports forums, CBS had a good one (which seems bizarre). But there was one dude on that site named Bobby who was a shitstain that ruined everything. His name was ChicagoBobby or some variant (he would get banned and re-join daily). Maybe Bobby just isn't a good name for sportsforuming.
I had him on ignore for a few years, stemming from posts in the Texans forum about a player that the Texans didn't even end up drafting. This isn't the first time he has been banned... the Houston Texans fan discussion board banned him before he came to Clutchfans. Can't imagine getting banned from discussion groups.
Had him on ignore, but other posters still foolishly tried to engage in honest discussion with him, so good riddance. Let's just be honest. Bobby was an idiot. He couldn't string together an honest political argument to save his life.
Bobby, I know you are reading this... You added a lot of life to the forums. Sometimes this was good (legit Texans discussion etc). Sometimes this was bad (calling an austistic kid the R word, and IMO worse was your complete inability to apologize or show the slightest remorse). Not apologizing or showing remorse, ever, seemed to be your character trademark. This I feel is a true weakness. You seem to think you have intellectual/moral high ground on everybody and everything. With this attitude there is zero room for growth or improvement as a person. I feel you in that you must be very careful who you choose to be open minded to, because idiots and trolls are plentiful. However, there are a few very wise, intelligent, and experienced individuals on here and in the world at large. Remain open to them so you can expand and evolve as a person. I am wishing you the best and hope you are learning to change what should be changed.
Sorry, but I think he's already had enough of the attention he so badly craved. Hope he can find a way to #bewell. But somewheres else.
What happened? Bobby had some decent football takes but was a fundamentally irrational poster to talk to. He made poor arguments and was zealous in his positions.
