I'm leaning toward this possibly being true. I remember Jon Barry mentioning the gesture started from a pick up game, and the story couldn't be told on air.
Hmm, seems to me that I recall reading an interview (Or was the interview televised? It's been awhile.) where then coach Jeff Van Gundy stated that he absolutely HATED that gesture. On the other hand, it drove the fans wild... Good times, good times...
Because he gave his all on the court. You don't have to play your whole career with the franchise or be an all-star to gain the love of the fans. Case in point: folks still love Boki for this... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/fsaqR6EO-lI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
"Have you ever seen a guy create more havoc playing five minutes and drawing four fouls than Nachbar?" Bwa ha ha! Classic.
we need Sura and Boki back!!! they can tutor and nurture Harden. Imagine if harden played w the fearlessness and heart of Sura/Nachbar. wow
That was the year of the white boy super squad. Bob Sura has jump. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/iabpij1JMJs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
