Yesterday. I don't want to derail this thread by talking about it here, there are plenty of threads in the feedback section about it if you want to read up on it.

He seemed like a good man. It’s a shame that the media labeled him as a racist owner.

RIP Mr McNair, thanks for bringing football back to the city of Houston and for your contributions to the city. It's a damm shame that the media has labeled him an evil person like someone said.

This is very much out of the blue. I had not even known he was sick or fighting cancer. Prayers for his soul and his family at this difficult time.

RIP to one of the most influential people in the history of the city of Houston. McNair was a successful business leader, he brought pro football to Houston, and he was an enormous philanthropist -- he did so much for so many of all races and socioeconomic backgrounds. He was truly a great man who lived an amazing life of accomplishment.

Damn. While there’s certainly been some mistakes during his ownership, we don’t get to experience the NFL at all without him...or 2 Super Bowls. JJ Watt is playing for...who the f*** knows. We don’t get to whine and complain about Bill O’Brien and his penchant for running the ball up the middle on 1st down at an alarming rate. We don’t have the Texans.

Thanks for everything you did for our city, Mr. McNair.

    May he Rest In Peace.

Forever thankful we have a team that is ours. A selfless person, I wonder how many people with the Texans organization knew about it. A lot of times you would have people of that stature announce he, or she is no longer seeking treatment, or illness has returned.

My guess would be that he didn't want it to be a distraction to the team.

Thank you for putting that stolen Enron $$ to good use and bringing football back to Houston, beating out LA at that.
