I'm a little surprised there isn't a thread about this game already. I just picked it up today and am already enjoying it a lot. It's gotten solid reviews from most sources (around 9.0) and seems to be essential if you enjoyed the first Bioshock as much as I did.

I've only played through a little bit of the game, but it's apparent that the Big Sister is one tough girl; I barely got any damage on her in our first encounter, but I think it's supposed to be that way. I was also using MW2 controls unconsciously, which has been tough to get out of my head early on.

Also, the battle between the objectivist Andrew Ryan and socialist Sofia Lamb appears pretty interesting.

Here's the E3 trailer for those who have not see it:

I bought the first one about a month ago to get ready for this one, but I cannot seem to get into it.

I ended up playing the first game and really enjoyed it a lot actually. The story and environments were exceptionally done and it has one of the scariest and freakiest levels I've ever played in a game. I didn't care too much about the plasmids and stuff though, I'm more of a straight shooter. But I started to have fun with the different things you could do.

And while I liked the game, I'm kind of scratching my head trying to find a reason for a sequel, considering what happened at the end of the first. But of course money talks.

I thought the first BioShock was one of the coolest games I've ever played. I really, really enjoyed it and I rarely play single player video games. I actually finished it twice. I've been so busy but I'd like to get BioShock 2 and play it when I get a chance.

I got it and have been trying to find time to play it lately. So far its cool, I gotta get used to being a big daddy though. The first one was really good and had a pretty solid story, I hope this one follows up strong.

Totally enjoyed the first one. Don't think I want to return to it since I'm not a big fan of running around inside a coup up dark place the whole game once again. I think it need a new atmosphere for some levels.

the multiplayer is amazing and the single player story is equally as awesome.

I have had more fun in this multiplayer than MW2 because its mayhem, fire and ice and electricity and bee's being thrown around coupled with variety of different weapons and traps make it hilarious...plus a giant Big Daddy in the middle of a fight makes it interesting.

Just beat it on Normal difficulty. Way too linear for me. No way to backtrack, so if you miss something, too bad for you. Weapons were pretty good, I like being able to throw on a bunch of tonics, and I prefer this hacking to the pipes mini-game. All in all though it just didn't quite have the oomph of the first one.

I played it for a while, and stopped when it crashed (PC). The first one was unplayable with my current setup, crashed every few minutes. Gotta work out the bugs.

Been playing off and on it since last week and so far it's fun but not different enough from the first one to knock my socks off. I just got the first little girl and 1 of 2 Adams so I'm still going around the Amusement Park. Hopefully the game picks up a little bit more than what I've played so far.

Overall a good sequel but not great.

Just finished the storyline and I'd say it was a very good sequel. I kind of rushed through the game so I didn't use the plasmids to their full capabilities, so I'll have to run through it again with more forethought.

Did anybody else just spam the "Call Eleanor" plasmid once you got it toward the end? I would be swarmed by splicers, call Eleanor, and chill in a corner while watching her own. I played the game on the straight-and-narrow, so I didn't harvest any little sisters and only killed Gil Alexander. How did your outcomes look?

I just beat Bioshock for the 3rd time and picked this one up for $8 from Gamestop. Played about 20 minutes of it and the graphics look kinda weak. In some areas, the walls look blurry, like Nintendo64 graphics. I see jaggies on the stairs. And the drill arm looks cartoon-ish, it has a cel-shaded look ala Viewtiful Joe. This game will take some time getting used to.
