LOL. You might want to get your news from somewhere other than your twitter account. You might learn a thing or two outside of your little stupid-people-bubble.

It was a Green Beret that suggested he kneel to be respectful of the country/military, while still protesting policies.

Point me to a way a high profile person can quietly protest for 2-3 minutes a week to get their point across. This protest does not affect anyone at all. Streets aren't blocked. Buildings aren't blocked. Police aren't called away from other tasks in order to make sure the protests are civil. Permits aren't needed. Considering the anthem is rarely shown during NFL games, the only people that see the protest are at the game and they shouldn't even see it then because their eyes should be on the flag - correct?

Let's all treat the anthem like this guy

No it won’t. It’s not like those upset can tune into NASCAR or another sporting event. The world is changing, adapt or get left behind.

Ben Shapiro, Jesse Kelly and their ilk triggered. :D
Snowflakes, please head to your safe space.

Good. I'm glad it makes you uncomfortable.

Peacefully take a knee = "They hate their country, the military, the flag and everything about America"
Peacefully protest in the streets = "Tear gas 'em!" "Thugs!" "Antifa!" "Terrorists!"

Just own it. You don't want ANY protests. OWN IT!

"Do it in your own private space on your own time where no one can see it or how about just don't do it at all!"

Of course these are the same folks who probably had no problem with Derek Chauvin kneeling.

"George Floyd was a criminal who had a history! He was trying to pass off a fake $20 bill. He was resisting arrest. Officer Chauvin was just trying to restrain him. He got what he deserved!"

"I am totally done with the NFL! Never watching again! #BoycottTheNFL #BoycottTheTexans #BoycottBillOBrien #BoycottJJWatt #NeverWatchingAgain!"

    OK Bye....

"They're kneeling! ... We demand you re-open the country (as we storm Capitol buildings)! They're forcing us to wear masks! but but but mahh freedom! They took our Confederate Flag! They're tearing down our Confederate statues!"

    Stay triggered.

LOL at Commodore again unable to use his own words and having to simply cut and paste other people's tweets that don't even say what he thinks they say. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone so insistent on participating in discussions and so simultaneously incapable of actually expressing anything.

When Kaep 1st started with the kneeling TV ratings fell.

I expect this to happen again.

The players are too dumb to realize the kneeling is going to cost them money. The cap will fall next yr, the question is only by how much?

I would gas Antifa, not the peaceful protestors and let them know I was going to gas them ahead of time so the peaceful protestors would have the chance to leave.

Then I would let Covid-19 run its course within Antifa. I'm not uncomfortable at all because I'm well armed and ready. I cant stand thieves/looters/criminals and wouldn't be bothered at all if they all were to go meet their maker.

Kaep has the right to kneel.

I have the right to not watch NFL football.

    Maybe

But those tweets really say it all about this movements origins.

You are absolutely correct. So...i assume you don't watch the NFL since players continue to kneel.

a public display of disparaging the police, pretending like Chauvin's actions are systemic and not the increasingly rare exception, while those same police protect you from lunatic fans and escort you to games...

Ungrateful and ignorant is the most charitable description of Watt's behavior

Hmmmmm...i don't recall Watt ever disparaging good police officers. Could you please point me to an instance where he did? Thanks

Not standing and showing pride in the flag/country for a specific reason (oppression / police brutality) is not the same as disparaging the flag or being anti-military. Again, a Green Beret suggested this to him as a respectful way to protest.

NFL TV contracts are long-term deals. They aren't impacted by short-term ratings. And NFL ratings fell before and after the kneeling too - just the same as many other sports such as NASCAR. It's a result of changing TV viewing habits (more options, less patience, etc). There's no evidence at all of any ratings shifts from the kneeling.

But you're likely right the cap will fall next year - due to Covid-19 effects (ticket sales, etc).

Welp. Now I understand why Commodore generally only retweets things other people say. His own thoughts are even less coherent.

Hiding behind a vet to shut down any criticism is even worse.

I suspect most people here think the country and cops are largely racist, so I dont know why they are letting Watt get away with disparaging them and claiming to support them at the same time.

How is that disparaging good cops?
