Did anyone hear Zierlein on the radio today? I missed it. I heard he was telling some pretty crazy stories about Osweiler and O'Brien.

Edit- Ok, I just listened. He said he's heard a ton recently since he's been in Los Angeles more and more lately for draft coverage at NFL Network.

Zierlein paraphrased- Some of it's on Bob McNair, the owner. Some of it's gonna be on OB. Some of it's gonna be on Rick...............But a lot of it's gonna be on Brock Osweiler too. And I'm tellin' you, Bill O'Brien would've fought and maybe killed Brock Osweiler if he had been in the building. Brock supposedly was a big diva and they saw it in the preseason. He said all the things he needed to but supposedly in camp there were some things that happened where the Texans were like, "Oh my God, what have we gotten ourselves into?" And then Brock was like, "Get out of the way. I'm not gonna let you yell at me. I don't have to listen to this." And Bill O'Brien just had to check him. And just grabbed him and snatched him and slammed him up against the wall. And then it was like "Help! Help!". Brock was screaming for help. Oh God, the story on that one.....When I heard the story of everything that went on when that went down. All I can tell you is I realized that's why the Texans did everything they could to get rid of Brock Osweiler. I think they would've cut him. I think if they hadn't been able to flip flop their second with a fourth rounder that they probably would have ended up cutting him. But they would have had to eat that money. So they didn't have to eat that money but they did have to give up a second round pick. But I don't think Brock Osweiler would have even suited up for the Texans. I really don't.

And how it a TERRIBLE division? You have 2 teams that were 9-7, 1 was 8-8.......3-13 Jags is the outlier. Go look at other divisions, how many have 3 teams .500 or better?

Right? And why now? The weekend of the draft where they just moved up to get a QB?

Yes, any story about Brock Osweiler or the Texans that doesn't paint the head coach in a negative light must automatically come from Bill O'Brien.

Man, I ust don't understand all of the O'Brien hate. Given a legitimate quarterback we are not a mediocre team.

Because of the defense. The offense is historically bad. The qb situation is his own fault

I don't think a guy who is that emotional and kneejerk in his decisions is in the executive suite. He should be a QB coach

So far, Bill O'Brien has done nothing well other than have Smith hire RAC to run the defense. The "O'Brien hate" comes from him being absolutely awful at running an offense and him bringing in bad QB after bad QB and then not making them any better.

If this is true then the Texans have tremendous resiliency to be able to still go 9-7 with a malcontent at QB.

Why does it matter, when you know Albright is legit and just agreed facetiously with the question?

A blog writer looking for smoke. I'm tired of all the rumors, O'Brien makes everyone in that building better, maybe he hasn't made the best qb decisions but the level of competitiveness and accountability that we're getting from this team is unprecedented. Rac and Vrab have been a Godsend and have allowed Bill the grace period to **** up at qb and finally come to grips with the reality that one needed to be drafted early but O'Brien keeps the level of intensity on the field at paramount levels, there's competition at every position and that's what I enjoy seeing about this team, they're going to compete. There are far too many people out there ready to kill this team dead before the first snap of the season, just based on what I saw out of these guys with **** qb play, I'm cautiously optimistic

I agree. I actually think O'Brien is a good head coach. He really needs a competent OC though.

Yeah.... that just points out how unbelievably incompetent the Texans were signing Brock Osweiler. Bill O'Brien is known as a very difficult coach. He is very hard on his quarterbacks. It works with some personalities and not others. Yet, the Texans give Osweiler $36,000,000 guaranteed with O'Brien having never even met him. Entirely based on film. That is STUPID and indefensible.

Hopefully other than losing the second round pick, the Texans are able to move on and Watson or Savage becomes the long term solution at QB.

It is good to know that the Bill O'Brien at least was able to meet with and be around Watson 3-4 times before drafting him. So this shouldn't be an issue.

O'Brien is a trade up maniac.

I guess Texans scouts don't like O'Brien mortgaging the future to try to save himself

A competent QB might help as well.

Logic says if you don't have a "competent QB", get every otehr position of the offense as elite as you can. He hasn't done that. Line is mediocre. TEs are mediocre. Running game is barely above mediocre. He was more successful when he was doing more adjustments and even running gadget plays. Remember Cecil Shorts taking snaps and throwing a touchdown pass? What happened to that? Hopefully we see more of that with Braxton. And I don't mean taking snaps and running it down the middle. It was so stupid that they kept doing that.
