Franchises go long periods with no franchise quarterback. He has his guy. Because he couldn't get a franchise qb in his first three years is a stupid criticism. I don't know who to blame for Osweiller but they took a risk on a guy with tremendous talent. Osweiller needs a shrink and im no criticizing BOB for not being a psychiatrist
I have been pretty clear from the get go that I have a buddy on the team that would talk about stuff from time to time. It was apparent early on in camp that BOB preferred Savage and did not have a good relationship with Brock.
By that point it was too late. BOB wanted to sign him based on tape from Denver And then why start Brock over Savage in the playoffs against New England? The man is lost.
he's good at choosing great defensive coodinators. If not for that, he would have been done a long time ago
I think he did good by putting more linemen in the line, but he really needs to make better decisions at 3rd and short, those 3rd and 1 runs were awful,
Wait...what? Held onto Schaub too long? They went 12-4 with him in 2012. They cut ties with him after 2013. So, you must be saying they should have dumped him after his stellar 2012 season?
Okay a couple of things. You're correct. Schaub's problems started after the infamous letterman jacket game in 2012. What i really meant is that they never had a plan to replace him such as Dallas drafting Prescott thinking Romo would still be the starter. That being said i was a tj yates guy but kubiak wouldn't give him a shot despite Schaub's clear decline in the pick six debacle
Not finding a franchise QB *is* stupid criticism. Not even trying to find a franchise QB deserves a ton of criticism. He wasted 3 years of a lot of great players' primes overrating his own ability to win anything with Fitz, Hoyer, Mallet, Savage, and Osweiller.
It's also how they did it. Almost completely ignoring the QB market because they thought New England backups were the answer, then turning around and absurdly overpaying for unproven QBs
Been watching football all day, gotta say other offenses seem less predictable and more creative than what I see with Texans.
