Is it just me or are the home TV guys rather negative when they talked about Sam D?

Seems unusual for home TV announcers to take such a tone with a player.

They seemed most critical abut Flynn. I think at one point one of them, said, "FLynn just dribbled around the world and came back with nothin"

Bill was super harsh about Sammy. He seemed pissed actually.

    Clyde just laughed.
    As usual.

Remember that these guys are Rockets fans too (and they've been with this team through thick and thin, especially Bill) its kind of hard to fathom how sullen and "heartless" the Rockets are now.

Understandably they expect their Rockets to adhere to high standards and perform a reasonable level.

I think they're annoyed at how he has seemingly become less effective by the game, which makes no sense.

That's the reason I dislike bill. Lately he's been talking too much **** but thats what happens when you get comfortable in Houston.

He was, in the past, playing against undersized and nonathletic post players before. Either that or he's getting lazy.

Remember we were all excited at Dally's first game? It's going down hill from there.

Sammy's D and effective shotblocker but we need Chuck's defense BADLY. Could also use Battier's perimiter D as well.

Clyde: But Sam D is a veteran.
Bill: Yea... a veteran with one point and one rebound in 9 minutes...

LOL, I thought I heard something along those lines... or maybe it was just my imagination.

Yet he never talks about Scola's lack of help defense, just about how hard of a worker he is

Alright everyone, I hope you are happy. We got the shot blocker you wanted but have worse defense. Ya'll Chuck haters, hope you are happy. Defense is not just blocking shots, way more to it and in that department Chuck runs laps around the entire league.

Sadly, we would be in the same position even if we retained Chuck. This team lacks size and scoring. What is the point of having a big who can't score? Or having a big who gives up space on D? We need size badly. Chuck isn't size, he's strength, he's grit, he's some defense, but he isn't size.

Does anyone remember Bill or Clyde being this negative about another Rockets player? I don't.

Were they this negative about ineffective Hill and Brooks? Fat Bonzi? Clueless Stro Swift?

They're probably just as frustrated with the Rockets as we are

in defense of Bill. Dalembert is a total ass clown. from interviews, to how he treats staffs, fans, and even the front office. Dalembert acts as if every thing should be given to him. Kudos to Bill for having the nads to say something on t.v. about this jerk.

After not being able to grab a rebound:

    bill: "can you believe this."
Clyde: " ummm yeah, I'm watching it."

this should go in the clyde isms thread.
