    Expression been around forever

Why would anyone feel offended by that. Unless they’re embarrassed of being black or something.

The only real answer here would be if the players actually genuinely think that Bob is a good guy, in which I think they do. If they do, their answers will be something along the lines of "His statements were taken out of context and we know who Bob is and he didnt mean that expression in that manner".

Well there goes signing any free agents going forward.

Rick Smith will def be held on for another 10 years. Imagine if McNair fires him now.

I hope he sells the team.

The race angle is bad enough. But calling your own employees inmates, when they ARE the league, is petty bad

We have a large amount of racist people right now who routinely call NFL players criminals and thugs even if most have had no troubles with the law.

We have an owner who just compared them to inmates in a prison.

    It's offensive.

It's not taken out of context at all - it's the predominant context of how he tends to view society, the league, and his place in it and why a "good guy" like Bob lines himself up with distinctly not good guys like Trump.

I mean who's the real Bob McNair, the one who funnels cash to #MAGA or to charity - can't they both be the real Bob McNair?

He needs to lose his team. Fire him.

This can be the excuse to get rid of him.

This is a "distraction." I thought the NFL didn't need them.

I think it’s a lot different when you’re an owner of a team/business as opposed to an ordinary person/fan.
