Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis has been fined $5,000 for a flopping violation in Friday night's 124-99 win over the Houston Rockets, the NBA announced Saturday.

The play happened late in the first quarter, when Davis, while attempting to set a screen, purposefully dove to the ground when contacted by Dwight Howard's arm.

that was pretty comical finally someone else besides the rockets getting fined in the playoffs

The fact that he thought people would think Dwight could easily move his 400lb @$$ like that is comical..... Davis would be a world class sumo wrestler... He should try the sport out.

He got the last laugh of the night. If we won and he had flopped I would probably say something but meh.

What about the Griffin flop on the Harden drive? Harden sees him and stops just in front of him but Griffin still falls down.

I'd give it about a 3.5 on a scale of 5. Is there footage of Dwight Howard flopping ?
I doubt such a thing exists. Howard is being a standup guy again, but I don't know what to make of the 2 halfs, that was some mixed up team out there.

Please show up Sunday night Rockets, I don't feel so great.

There was even worse than that last night where I think Big Baby launched himself towards the baseline, also against Dwight.

That whole team are flopping specialists. Griffin's flop when Brewer blocks him from behind was embarrassing. Paul has to be giving individual lessons to each of them.

After Chris Paul retires, he can make some dough teaching how to flop, much like Hakeem teaches guys the post moves.

Davis got the call. That's the important thing. These fines are stupid as long as the league is going to continue to reward flopping.

Just like the previous telecast. They would have never fined him unless the announcers proclaimed like the Brewer one. I was watching Draymond Green flopping around like a fish out of water and didnt get fined. The NBA is a joke and some **** is fake. Just like the Clippers complaining and refs swallowed their whistles....Yao getting hacked and no calls....Van Gundy fined $100,000 for saying something. Lets see what happens tomorrow.

Not even JJ Watt can make Big Baby fly across the court like that.

Here is suggestion. Make the call reviewable by the central review office. Reverse the call with a foul on the flopper and give an automatic free throw to the opposing team to pick a free throw shooter. I bet the flopping will go away. This is embarrassing for the league

Boom Daddy. Been saying this for a while now. Fines don't change anything. Especially when you're talking about a playoff game. Dwight got a foul on that play. That penalized us. Clips will take up a collection to pay off that fine for Big Baby. Because it helped them win.

It's gotta be changed on the floor. Guys in Springfield should pull that play up, reverse it, and assign a penalty to the Clippers of whatever...free throws, or fouls against, whatever, some sort of game penalty.

    That will stop the flops.
