very reasonable deal, i'm impressed with the hawks gm for negotiating this contract and with bibby for not haggling with him. if the hawks can sign 2 out of those 3 free agents (zaza, williams, and childress), they will likely land the #4 spot again and be rather competitive with the top teams.

If our team didn't fall apart this offseason, I would have been campaigning for Bibby. As it stands, though, I guess we now need youth over experience.

I was hoping for a reunion of Bibby and Adelman. He would have been great as a stabilizer when the young pgs of the team tend to get out of control. An additional veteran to keep the team focused.

3 yrs, $18M is pretty much ideal from the Hawks' perspective. I was afraid they would have to overpay to keep Bibby. Instead, they locked him down for EXACTLY what he's worth. A+.

Nice deal for the Hawks, especially since after the Crawford trade most of the speculation was that they wouldn't re-up with Bibby. I couldn't imagine things would have went well for them with Jamal as their starting PG, but he'll be a nice scorer off the bench. Interesting to see what they'll try to do with their restricted FA's and with Josh Smith. If Kerr would take him and maybe Josh Childress I could see them being moved for Stoudemire
