    easily Love

we need to trade EGo now if Tilman doesn't want to give him an extension, and Capela's contract is needed to be included
so i'll trade Gordon + Capela + Shumpert (S&T to around 1yr. $8Million with team option) + a future pick for Love + Lance Jr. + a 2nd rd. pick

Move Tucker to the perimeter to guard the likes of LBJ/Kawhi/PG13/Mitchell/Harris/KD...
Lance Jr. is every bit of Capela plus some 3pt. shooting
Harden & Russ will do their things to offset Kawhi/PG's
KLove will be our advantage when we face the Clippers in the WF

I love Iggy but it’s love. House and EG are good enough perimeter defenders at the wing spots. You get a stretch 4/5 like love you will force AD and other elite bigs out of the paint where Harden and Russ will have a field day getting to the hoop.

Hell no to Iggy after we got WB. We can't afford to have another non-shooting player on the wings whatsoever. Love is still interesting, 3 and rebounding, can go small ball 5 with him and have 4 out again with WB hanging around the baseline whenever off ball.

Here's a question, would yall rather have Marvin Williams, who's a similar caliber shooter, a better defender, but 2.5 years older, and while a solid rebounder - nothing like Love on the boards - for a couple of 2nds and Shump S&T?

Or would yall rather have Love for a couple of first 2020 & 2022 (+ Shump, Nene S&T and fillers - Hartenstein, Clark, Fraizer and Chiozza)

Marvin makes 15 mill and is expiring, Love 30 mill per over next 4 years.

Honestly, think I'd take Marvin and keeping our 1st. Surprisingly, Marvin isn't even 2.5 years older then Love, and he's been much healthier then Love over the past 3 years, he'd be better on switches, and his contract situation is MUCH better. Love can obviously do a lot more offensively... but in the role we'd have him in, I'm not sure if we need those skills for what he'd cost in picks and salary.

PJ tucker a joke to you or what? Love makes the max if you get him EG is gone.

Both Iggy and Love isnt worth losing Tucker and EG. EG is the Rox's 2nd best scorer and god knows we need a sniper with WB coming on board. Tucker is needed as a defensive stopper vs Lebron, AD, Kawhi and PG.

Iggy coming on a vet min would be perfect but if it means losing either EG of Tucker I'd just rather roll with House and Shumpert on the wing.

How you get Love without trading away EG and Capela?

Also Klove is a lot like Kanter he is a sieve defensively. He will provide spacing but AD, Lebron and Cousins will eat him on defense, posterize him and maybe even give him a season ending injury. Dude's a sneeze away from being Mr. Glass how many season ending injuries has he had?

We need some continuity on the roster with Cp3 leaving and WB coming in not keep trading away future assets and vital roster pieces for 2nd rate stars.

I'd trade WB for Wiggins, play Rivers at point or let Harden run it like old times, then you have a scorer in the front court to go to.

Love's three-point shooting would be perfect, but this team needs defenders. And would there be enough balls to go around for Harden, Westbrook and Love? Covington would be ideal.

Totally agree about Covington being a perfect fit and it in't llikely to happen. Covington (28 yrs olds 3/36mil) is on a great contract and fits perfectly with just about any good team in the league. Rockets simply don't have enough to trade for him and Wolves have no reason to trade him.

Partly agree with you about Iggy, but think he would be a great fit... as someone who watches a ton of Warriors game, Iggy isnt likely to play or contribute/play significantly over 82 games or even over 30 minutes. However the playoffs is where I think Iggy will make a HUGE difference. The guy is still an elite defender despite his age and can be a huge influence in 26-28 minutes. His shot/offense will be hit and miss, as often MIA as he will be the hero. Aside from scoring, Iggy will always provide sound decision making and is a great third passer/ball-handler. Always quick to move the ball and make the right passes.

On a team with Westbrook/Harden, Iggy's wing defense, timely shooting, basketball IQ will be huge when it matters. I think Iggy takes the Rockets team to the next level (top 2 team in the West).

Agree with you about Love not being a fit. Yes his shooting would help, but he's at his best when he gets the ball as demonstrated by his time in Cleveland and Minnesota. He struggled IMO in Cleveland with Irving/Bron and his role would be the same in Houston. Furthermore his defense is a very real concern... especially when paired with Harden/Westbrook. The Rockets would be a terrible defense with the three together. This isn't even accounting for the fact, the Rockets would need to move either Capella or Gordon or Tucker to get him.

The Russ trade may not be done. There is no 3 team deal to move CP3 for cheaper but there may be to take on more money in the trade. There is a way to get Russ, Love, Covington using this trade. Love’s cost is a 1st. It’s the most they can expect for getting out of the contract and the best they could hope for is Whiteside. That’s where the Blazers have us. If the Cavs want Adams this is our leverage. We can use our 1st and SNTs to add to the deal to take on Love and the JR Smith contract. If we can work it in the same trade we can send him to Wolves with a 1st. That wipes our assets but completely cleans up our deep roster with no holes. Harden, Russ, Love, Covington, Tucker, EGo, Capela, Rivers, House, Chandler. Iggy or Crowder on buyout but doesn’t matter. Real depth.

Why Love? Rebounding and variability in units. Wings are great but our weakness was length and rebounding and variability. This provides the optimal cast for PNR, fast break, post up, second unit. FLEXIBILITY. Our offense naturally would gravitate away from the stagnation of the 3. We would still shoot a lot but it would be in the flow of a varied offense too hard to guard. We would have ample defenders and be able to rest players and reduce load and injuries. If we simply want only wings and D and switching for 48 we could still do that by picking up Iggy or Crowder in buyout. We would be very attractive to those players. We want to trade assets for players on multiyear contracts because in FA I don’t trust us to match with how much we will have in the pot. If EGo doesn’t accept an extension we are not screwed. If he does then we have leverage in good contracts to trade them. I want to call TF on his promise to go into tax.

    Sounds great.

I would assume Love/Westbrook with Harden/Capela the rebounding would be tops in the league. They are all excellent rebounders at their positions.
