My vote goes for Lupe Fiasco. The man is always delivering amazing wordplay with hidden meanings behind everything. He brings a style of subtlety and deapness that is refreshing in this new era of hip hop. In ya'lls opinion who else is up there as the best rapper alive?

You know I do agree that Drake gets crazy hype, but some of the stuff he's putting out there that don't get any play, I feel, are pretty decent. The freestyle "Say What's Real" was mind blowing. Very deep grasp of the rap game. I feel like Drakes main goal is to become sucessful and he follows the footsteps of Wayne i.e. getting on every song, producing huge quantities, catchy hooks. The mixtapes show where his real genius is at though.

Drake and Freestyle do not go hand in hand.

This is better than anything any rapper has put out in recent times.

Rap is dead. Bring back Puff and the Bad Boys.

JMT aren't bad, but a bit too militant for my taste. Same goes for Immortal Technique.
