I used to do this when I was a kid except I'd put both pizzas face up. Never thought to lay them like that! That sounds pretty good actually.
If I ate even a slice of this today, hot diarrhea would probably just instantly shoot out of my ass. More than anything about youth, I miss my iron stomach and high metabolism.
I have a soft spot in my heart for the Red Baron Supreme french bread pizza 2-pack. Haven't had one in years, but that was my mom's go-to "because it's here and easy you kids shut the hell up and let me relax" pizza. That + some VHS tape of something...Mel Brooks, Star Wars, whatever...equaled alone time for her.
Not my wheelhouse. If I want cheap pizza I just wait until Tueday and get two pizzas from Dominos for $5.99 each.
Was in a quick pinch to grab something to eat and there werent a whole lot of options available the other day. Stopped by a Lil Caesars and got their new extra cheese, extra pepperoni pizza for 6 bucks and it was really good. It seemed liked the dough they used was fluffier and doughier than the regular 5 dollar one. Would eat again. Surprisingly.
I prefer most of the classics, such as Tombstone and Red Baron. CPK has decent cheese and sauce if you prepare yourself to bite into a cracker. I don't know how anyone could ever eat the Freschetta pizzas with the original crust. There's more bread there than pizza. and the sauce is disgusting compared to other frozen pizzas (which is saying something). Digiorno is bad too and has similar issues. But we can all agree on the worst: Spoiler
Best frozen pizza is that weird rectangular (so it fits in the lunch tray) wet limpy doughy white pasta-like thing they called pizza served throughout AISD and FBISD back in the 80s and 90s (and may still do). Oh how I miss the taste.
Haven't eaten much frozen pizza since my single days, but I remember this being the case. Both of these brands are supposed to be 'gourmet' but are really just all bread. I remember really liking Red Baron Mexican style pizza. And any Tombstone. Totino's was great in college. I remember no matter what style you got...they all tasted exactly the same. How can a double pepperoni taste exactly like a cheese-only?
