Beck admits he doesn’t give ‘a flying crap about the political process. … We’re an entertainment company.’ Fox News host Glenn Beck’s media “empire” is the cover story of the newest issue of Forbes Magazine. In the story, Beck reveals that his media company Glenn Beck Inc. made $32 million in revenue in the period between March 2009 and March 2010. The host also explains that he sees himself much more as an entertainer than a political activist, saying that he doesn’t “give a flying crap about the political process”: With a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: “I could give a flying crap about the political process.” Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. “We’re an entertainment company,” Beck says.
Your title's as misleading as Fox News His statement was about Glen Beck Inc -- not Fox News. (although it could probably apply to Fox News too).
Good "trick" of twisting around Glen's reference to his own company and equating that to meaning "Fox News" has a whole in your thread title. I guess conservatives can all hang our heads and go back to getting our news from Larry King and TDS now. But seriously: Glad summarized it best, "Watch them all, but make sure you take it all in with a "deer lick" of salt."
Ken Hoffman from the Chron and 1560 always talks about a "friend" that works in Conservative radio. He's said tons of times that this "friend" is completely different off air and that it's all an act. I wonder....

The truly sad part is that the people who really need to read this piece, Beck's viewers, never will because he has poisoned that well and convinced his followers that all other media sources are hopelessly biased.
My favourite quote describing Glenn Beck is one by Stephen king who says Beck is: "Satan's mentally challenged little brother" I couldn't have said it any better myself. God Bless Stephen King
Haven't lived in Houston for a while, but I get the feeling he's talking about a Dan Patrick or Chris Baker. I don't know anything about Hoffman other than Rich Connelly in Houston Press skewering his columns.
What joke? I guess not... I'm just following the example that your side sets... where any mistake is dubbed a LIE.
Who's really surprised about Beck? If I had the opportunity to spewed non-coherent crap to a right-wing audience for millions, I would do it to.
