He "made" the Sgt Peppers Album BE the Sgt Pepper Album. The Penny Lane/ Strawberry Fields is one of the best things ever imo. Sad day, but he lived a life one could only dream of, and lived it long.
RIP. The guy was a genius. What producer, and the combination with the talents of the Beatles was exactly what was needed.
The man was a huge influence and on more than "just" the Beatles. Is he in the Rock Hall of Fame? If not, he should be.
