You think about how great this team would be with a 04-05 Tracy and a 06-07 Yao before he got injured. I think about it all the time we would be a dynasty in the making and maybe the greatest team ever.
I love the guys and we undoubtedly would have become a strong team with McGrady and Yao at their peak,but you are being much too overly optimistic. I think we could have a true contender for a NBA title,but it's very hard to predict that if we could even win one of them and absolutely impossible to even think that they could be the best team ever. I don't know how old you are but there have been far better teams than the hypothetical one you are proposing. The 94-95 Rockets would have beaten them for sure IMO,and possibly even the 93-94 Rockets.

Yao/Andersen/Hayes Scola/Landry/Hayes Ariza/Battier McGrady/Budinger Brooks/Lowry Thats a pretty beast lineup. Barring health(I hate saying that ), the only question mark is backup center.
thats a killer lineup, but who would you guys have as a coach, as i think that plays a big part in team play , style and chemistry.. i love rick adelman, but i would have to go with jvg, dont know why yet
