“Sometimes, they say, ‘He doesn’t act presidential,’” Trump said of his critics. “And I say, ’Hey look ― great schools, smart guy ― it’s so easy to act presidential. But that’s not going to get it done. ... With the exception of the late, great Abraham Lincoln, I can be more presidential than any president that’s ever held this office. That I can tell you. It’s real easy.”

Trump would be much happier at an old folks home playing monopoly that uses gaudy hotels with his name on it while throwing around fake million dollar money.

One of the most dangerous things in the world is a stupid person who thinks he's smart. Add uncontrollable hubris to the equation and you get critical mass dumbass.

"I am not defending Trump" and then you proceed to defend him. Thus you try to defend the indefensible. See where Trump has led you?

More the reason they shouldn't have invited a character like Trump, who has no ideology other than self-aggrandizement and objectifying women.

I can't imagine even Trump's most fervent supporters think he is a good role model for children in any shape or form. They elected him because they (for whatever reason) feel he is smart, knows how to turn the US economy around, and is willing to put corrupt politicians in their place.

That's Trump. The man they invited to talk to the Boy Scouts.

Don't know what you mean by "play politics". The reason to invite him is because that is their tradition to invite the President. The reason not to invite him is because he really has nothing worthwhile to say to kids (as evidenced by the predictably horrid speech he gave) and his values don't match the values the Boy Scouts uphold. They must weigh one against the other. The latter is not a political statement, and acting on it should not be construed as a political decision.

Liberals... For thinking about the children and thinking that they can't handle a 70 year old man calling things as he sees them!

    Weak!

Repressed homosexual feelings. He wants to blow the quiet and strong dude at work. But can't and wants to "blow his brains out" instead. He's a legend no matter what though.

I don't blame the Boy Scouts. They'd have been in a finer mess had they not invited him. The fault is all on Trump and his staff for accepting and then delivering a wholly inappropriate speech.

the problem which a lot of board conservatives fail to see is...couldn't this dumbass have just kept the speech non-political and about doing some good, adhering to their code? Trump makes everything about him. Its disturbin.

I mean the speech was just weird. I have to believe he wrote it himself.
