He'st hosting tonight, just in case anyone is interested. He's a former Rocket and the board has a love/hate thing with him. Keep here or move thread if needed.
This is his 3rd or 4th time hosting. Each time has been forgettable, IMO. Chuck hasn't done a bad job or anything just nothing to write home about.
I'll watch. Chuck is a good man. He had that show to talk about racism. He'll have to be a major douche and hurt someone for me to get off his bandwagon. He's not Shaq, he's Chuck. Our Chuck.
I remember the episode he hosted in 93 with nirvana as the musical guest like it was yesterday. Dave Grohl and Krist Novaselic making out during the closing credits...oh the uncomfortable vibes. Good times.
He took a jab at Houston. “..the last 4 years of my career were in Houston, so it should only count as 1.”
Yep, he was making a joke about himself. If he was making fun of Houston the joke would be, "the last 4 years were in Houston but it felt like 10 years."
I don't get the joke. Either way, screw Barkley. Les messed up with that trade. You don't gut your core that won 2 championships. Something to keep in mind if we win this year...
Terrible Trades in NBA History: Houston Getting Barkley for Four Rockets DENTON RAMSEYFEBRUARY 27, 2010 If you can’t beat them, join them; right, Sir Charles? In one of the worst moves in NBA history, the Houston Rockets stupidly and stubbornly gambled on a major move in 1996 after winning back-to-back titles, trading away four vital players for an old and grumpy Charles Barkley. Those four players? Sam Cassell, Robert Horry, Chucky Brown, and Mark Bryant. Barkley joined a Houston team boasting three of the top 50 players of all-time (along with Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler), although all three were nearly on their last legs. And an old Sir Charles just made the Rockets slower, lazier, and fatter.
