So I just traded a deer for a bunch of wild caught BC king salmon, and I plan on cold smoking a plank of it. Howeva... Can't find good bagels to save my life. HEB is terrible, tried one place in Bee Cave that was pretty blah. If you don't boil them before you bake them, you're wasting your time. Any suggestions? You would think with all the carpetbagging yankees moving to town somebody would have opened up an authentic bakery. I miss the Hot Bagel Shop on Shepherd.
I'm far from a bagel conoisseur but the GF and I frequent Wholy Bagel at MoPac and William Cannon and enjoy it.
